The 21st-ranked Fisher golf team shot an opening round 296 and is in first place after day one of the Empire 8 Conference Championship. Nazareth College is in second place with a 318.   Tom Muto Jr. and Bobby McCartney each shot 74s to lead Fisher the first day of the four-round tournament.  The final two rounds will be played the spring.
