The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team was defeated by host RIT 5-4 on Thursday. Sophomore Katie Barlow (Shaker/Latham) won her match at third singles 6-4, 6-3, but suffered her first loss of the season with doubles partner Katie Neubeck (Avon/Avon), 9-8 (7-3).
Laura Hale ( Perry/Warsaw) also earned a point for the Cardinals with a straight-sets victory at first singles, and teamed with Brittany Klotzbach (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) for another Fisher win at first doubles.
Fisher (2-2) will return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday to take on host Elmira College.
