The St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse program set a new record for wins in a season, as the Cardinals picked up their 12th victory of the year in an 18-8 win over visiting SUNY Oswego on Tuesday.
Seniors Haley Koperski and Theresa Nobilski each became just the second and third players in Fisher history to score 100 goals in a career. Koperski finished with two goals and three assists, and became the program's all-time leader in points (100 goals and 40 assists), while Nobilski, who finished the game with three goals and one assist, moved into second place on the all-time scoring list with 100 goals and 38 assists.
Lauren Glavin and Trish Scudder also scored three goals for Fisher (12-5).
The Cardinals will return to action at 11 a.m. on Saturday and will face Ithaca College in the semifinals of the Empire 8 Conference Championship. The game will be played at Nazareth.
