For the first time in their program's history, The RIT Tigers defeated the host Cardinals on Saturday, 64-61.
The Cardinals rallied from a 31-29 halftime defecit to take a 60-59 lead with a 3-pointer from junior forward Allison Boehm with four mintues to play in the second half.
The Tigers took the lead for good however, sinking a pair of free throws with less than a minute to play to seal the victory.
The Cardinals had three players score in double figures, marking the seventh time this season that three or more Cardinals have scored more than 10 points in the same game.
Junior Ashley Dean scored a game-high 15 points and added seven rebounds, while Boehm finished the game with 14 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Freshman center Mary Kate Comfort tallied 14 points and six rebounds.
St. John Fisher (11-9, 5-4 Empire 8) will return to action at 6 p.m. on Tuesday to take on visting Alfred University.
