The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team suffered a 75-58 loss to host University of Rochester on Friday night. The Yellowjackets, who entered the game ranked No. 1 in the latest d3hoops.com national poll, shot 56.9% from the floor, including 47.1% from 3-point range.
Fisher trimmed Rochester’s lead to four points at 21-17 with a traditional three-point-play from
Chris Baltz with 4:53 left in the first half, but the Yellowjackets responded with seven straight points from Jon Onyiriuka and led 35-22 at intermission.
Baltz led Fisher with 14 points, while
Justin Beigel added 12 points and six boards. Freshman
Ozell Franklin scored in double-figures for the fifth straight game and finished with 11 points.
Fisher will return to action on December 29th.
