The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team defeated RIT 84-80 in the first Empire 8 matchup of the season.  Chris Baltz (Vestal/Vestal)led Fisher with 19 points while Justin Beigel (Colerain/Cincinnati, OH) added 17 points and 16 rebounds.  Matt Newman (Campbell-Savona/Campbell) and Ozell Franklin (Rush-Henrietta/Henrietta) chipped in with 13 points each. 

Fisher returns to action on Sunday at Stevens Institute of Technology.
