The St. John Fisher College women's basketball team improved to 3-1 on the year with a 79-46 win over visiting Clarkson University on Sunday. Fisher went on an 8-0 run to end the first half and used a 21-2 run over the first nine minutes of the second half to pull away.
Twelve different players scored for Fisher, including five with eight or more points. Allison Boehm finished with 12 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals in 22 minutes of action. Freshman Lyndsay Murphy led all scorers with 14 points. Mary Kate Comfort totaled nine points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots.
Kristen Taliento and Meagan Tubbs each scored eight points. Tubbs also finished with four assists and three steals.
Sophomore Christine Isselhard scored a career-high seven points. Freshman Colleen Maloney was 2-for-2 from the floor and finished with a career-high five points. Ashley Dean scored four points, as did freshmen Marissa Canori and Amanda Lax. Melissa Kanalley and Kellie Leathem also scored in the win.
Fisher will return to action at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at SUNY Geneseo.
