The St. John Fisher College women's basketball team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 64-49 win over host Buffalo State on Tuesday night.
The Cardinals trailed 33-27 at the break, but took the lead for good on back-to-back 3-pointers from freshman Lyndsay Murphy (Hornell/Almon), sparking a 19-4 run over a six-minute span early in the second half. Murphy finished with a career-high 17 points, while senior guard/forward Allison Boehm (Sacred Heart/Cheektowaga) also tallied 17 points and was two assists shy of a triple double (10 rebounds, eight assists).
Fisher will return to action at 2 p.m. on Sunday to host Clarkson.
