The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team earned a critical victory at home on Saturday night, posting a 3-1 decision over the Utica College Pioneers.
Sophomore Luke Lennox (Harley/Rochester) paced the Cardinals, registering a goal and an assist in the contest, with Cris Martinez (Iroquois/Lanaster) and Andrew McIntosh (Horseheads/Horseheads) rounding out the goals for Fisher.
Fisher opened up the scoring in the 15th minute, and added goals in the 27th and 35th minute before the Pioneers got onto the scoreboard in the 38th minute. Fisher keeper Adam Durst (Gates Chili/Rochester) recorded four saves over the 90 minutes.
Fisher will return to action at 4 p.m. tomorrow to take on Stevens in another critical Empire 8 Conference match.
