Cardinals Shoot Down Soaring Eagles

Freshman Bill Lidell knocked down five 3-pointers in the second half and finished with 17 points in 11 minutes of action.

The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team made a season-high 16 3-pointers - one shy of the College's single-game record - and cruised to a 91-61 victory over visiting Elmira College on Friday.  With the win, Fisher improves to 4-2 in the Empire 8 and 13-4 overall.

Fisher jumped out to a 16-1 lead 5:15 into the game and never looked back.  Fisher scored 15 of its first 19 points on 3-pointers, including two each from Chris Baltz and Dan Mueller.  Mueller and Baltz each finished with four 3-pointers, while freshman Bill Lidell made a career-high five 3-pointers – all in the second half - and finished with 17 points in 11 minutes of action.
 
Fisher will return to action at 4 p.m. on Saturday and will host Ithaca College.  The game can be heard on WYSL-1040AM and www.wysl1040.com
