Chris Baltz scored all 16 of his points in the second half.

The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team lost 51-50 to host Alfred University on Tuesday.  It is the second straight loss for the Cardinals and marks the first time in three years they have lost back-to-back games.

Fisher, who scored its first point of the game at the 11:35 mark of the first half, trailed by nine at intermission, but rallied to take its first lead with 8:58 left in the game.  Fisher led with 1:19 left, but Alfred took the lead for good with 47 seconds remaining.  Fisher attempted a 3-pointer in the closing seconds, but the shot rattled in and out.

Freshman Chris Baltz scored all 16 of his team-high points in the second half.  Dan McSweeney added 14 points, while Dan Mueller added nine.

Fisher (12-4, 3-2) returns to action at 8 p.m. on Friday and will host Elmira College.  It is Fisher's first home game since December 9th - a span of 11 games.
