The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team lost to host Utica College 62-54 on Saturday. It is the first time in the last 10 meetings that Utica has defeated Fisher and marks the first overtime-loss for sixth-year head coach Rob Kornaker, who now owns a 9-1 record in games decided after 40 minutes.
In a game that featured 21 lead-changes and a lead of no-larger than three points held by either team in the second half, Utica scored eight points in the final 100 seconds and outscored Fisher 10-2 in the second overtime. Freshman Matt Newman scored a career-high 15 points, including all six of Fisher's points in the two overtimes.
