Women's Soccer Defeats Hartwick

Megan Baker's goal gave Fisher a 2-0 lead.

The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team defeated visiting Hartwick College 2-0 on Saturday in an Empire 8 Conference contest.

Alyssa MacLachlan scored in the 21st minute, while Megan Baker added an insurance-goal early in the second half.

Laura Smith and Kelly Zeppetella each picked up an assist in the win for Fisher (4-2, 1-0).

Stacey Gable and Ashley Martin combined for the shutout.

Fisher will return to action on Tuesday and will host SUNY Brockport.
