The St. John Fisher College women’s soccer team improved to 3-1 in the Empire 8 Conference and 6-4-1 overall with a 4-0 win over visiting Alfred University on Wednesday at Fisher’s Growney Stadium.
Freshman Mary Dougherty (Liverpool/Liverpool) recorded her first career hat-trick in the win, including two goals in a three-minute span midway through the second half.
Dani Davis (G. Ray Bodley/Fulton) also scored her sixth goal on the season in the 22nd minute.
Kelly Zeppetella (Greece Olympia/Rochester) picked up her team-leading seventh and eighth assists of the season, while Megan MacKnight (Westhill/Syracuse) also recorded an assist, the first of her career.
Goalies Stacey Gable (Lake Shore/Derby) and Ashley Martin (Marcellus/Marcellus) each played 45 minutes, marking their seventh combined shutout.
Fisher will return to action at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday will host Utica College.
