The St. John Fisher College volleyball team lost 3-1 to visiting R.I.T. on Tuesday night. With the match tied at 1-1, Fisher led 26-24 in the third game, but the Tigers rallied to win game three, 30-27 and won the fourth and final game 30-24.
Senior outside hitter Kristi Pallotta (Liverpool/Liverpool) recorded a team-high 17 digs, 12 kills, and two service aces.
Sophomore
Jenna Engel (Batavia/Batavia) tallied 11 kills and four digs, while classmate
Alyssa Ziobrowski (Lewiston-Porter/Lewiston) added nine kills, five blocks, and two digs.
Junior setter
Hannah Cordes (Cazenovia/Cazenovia) finished the match with a team-high 38 assists, five digs, and four blocks, while senior
Colleen Helak (St. Mary’s/West Seneca) posted 11 digs and a team-high three service aces.
Senior
Tricia Hammerl (Byron-Bergen/Bergen) recorded seven digs, five kills, and five blocks, while sophomore
Morgen Kandefer (Nardin Academy/Alden) added four blocks, three kills, and two digs.
Fisher returns to action with two matches on Friday at the New York University Invitational.
