The St. John Fisher College volleyball team won 3-0 over host Buffalo State College on Thursday night. Fisher (7-16), who won the first game 30-15, posted 30-12 and 30-20 wins in the final two games.
Freshman
Jenna Waldron (Windsor/Windsor) led the Cardinals by serving for 12 straight points, while also adding a team-high nine digs, two kills and two service aces.
Junior setter
Hannah Cordes (Cazenovia/Cazenovia) tallied a team-high 25 assists, six digs, three kills and three blocks.
Senior Kristi Pallotta (Liverpool/Liverpool) finished the match with a team-high nine kills, nine digs and four aces.
Sophomore
Alyssa Ziobrowski (Lewiston-Porter/Lewiston) recorded five kills, three aces and two digs, while classmate
Jenna Engel (Batavia/Batavia) finished with four kills and four digs.
Senior
Colleen Helak (St. Mary’s/West Seneca) tallied eight digs and one ace, while junior
Mary Beth Dillon (Churchville-Chili/ Churchville) recorded three digs and two assists.
Sophomore
Kayleigh Cassetta (Cicero-North Syracuse/Liverpool) posted three kills and three blocks, while classmate
Morgen Kandefer (Nardin Academy/Alden) added two kills and one block.
Senior Tricia Hammerl (Byron-Bergen/Bergen) also added three kills for the Cardinals.
Fisher returns to action at Elmira College on Saturday for the Empire 8 Conference Crossover Tournament.
