Jill McCabe

In 2019, head coach Jill McCabe will lead the women's soccer program for the 19th consecutive season.   Fisher has qualified for post-season play five of the past eight seasons.

In 2012 Fisher enjoyed its most successful season in nearly 20 years, capturing the ECAC Upstate Women's Soccer Championship with a 3-2 win top-seeded College at Brockport.

McCabe, who also led the Cardinals to their first-ever New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association Championship in 2006, was a four-year letter-winner for University of Rochester. She led the Yellowjackets to NCAA Division III Championship titles in her final two seasons, while earning All-American First-Team status as a senior. She received the University of Rochester’s Babe Didrikson Zaharias Sports Institute Women of Achievement Award in 1997 for her outstanding contribution to women’s sports.

After graduating with a degree in Optical Engineering, the Smithtown native was an assistant coach for the Yellowjackets for 11 years and helped the team make nine NCAA appearances. McCabe also earned her master’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. She worked at Eastman Kodak from 1991 to 2001 before coming to Fisher.

McCabe is a member of three Hall of Fames -- Smithtown High School, University of Rochester Athletics and the United Soccer Leagues, and is also certified by the National Soccer Coaches of America Association.

McCabe holds an Advanced National license by the National Soccer Coaches of America Association and is a member of the ECAC Division III Upstate Women's Soccer Championship selection committee. She also serves as Fisher’s associate athletic director and senior women’s administrator. She oversees the scheduling of the College's athletic facilities, as well as other various administrative duties.
