Evan Ryan was hired as an assistant coach in August of 2019 after a successful playing career.
Ryan was a staple at shortstop for the Cardinals over two seasons as the Olean native was a two-time All-Conference player. While in a Cardinals’ uniform, Ryan helped lead the Cardinals to 75-25 overall record including a program-record 39 wins in 2016. That season, with Ryan in the lineup, Fisher won a Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship and advanced to the Division III World Series for the first time in its history.
The former Bob Ward Male Athlete of the Year at Fisher, Ryan batted .291 over 95 career games and accounted for 85 hits, 18 doubles, six homers and 59 RBI.
Before being named as an assistant under head coach Brandon Potter, Ryan volunteered on the Cardinals’ staff where he helped to mentor numerous All-Region infielders.
Prior to joining Fisher’s staff, he served as a coach with the Webster School District and has worked at Pinnacle Athletic Campus as the travel baseball coordinator.
