Mary Grace Doyle (Penfield/Penfield) of the St. John Fisher College women’s lacrosse team has been named the College's Female Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Cardinals to victory over No. 18 William Smith and Oneonta over this past week.

Doyle scored the game-winning goal for Fisher on Friday versus No. 18 William Smith as the senior put the Cardinals ahead 11-10 with only 34 seconds remaining in regulation. Throughout the matchup with the Herons, Doyle finished with two goals, six shots on goal, one caused turnover, and two draw controls.

In Fisher’s 15-3 win over Oneonta on Saturday the Penfield native notched a hat-trick on four shots on goal, while also totaling three ground balls and one draw control. 

The Cardinals are back in action on Wednesday at 5 p.m. when the travel Buffalo State to take on the Bengals.
