Katie Mazierki (North Tonawanda/Niagara Wheatfield) of the No.9 softball team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for her stellar week at the dish for the week ending April 29th, 2018.

The senior helped the Cardinals nab a 6-0 week after completing the clean sweep of Empire 8 opponents Sage Colleges, Alfred University and Utica College.

Mazierski would finish the week going 10-19 for a .526 batting average. She accumulated two extra base knocks and two runs batted in, to go with a .632 slugging percentage and a .591 on-base percentage. The North Tonawanda native added a single stolen base on the week as well.

A special milestone would be reached on the week with Mazierski accumulating her 200th career hit against the Sage Colleges on Tuesday. She is just the fourth player in program history to notch this accomplishment.

The nationally ranked Cardinals look to begin a deep post-season run as Fisher is slated to host the Empire 8 Conference Tournament this coming weekend. The top-seeded Cardinals will play at 3:30 p.m. on Friday against the Saxons of Alfred University.
