Tayler Dence (Hannibal, N.Y./Hannibal) of the women’s track and field team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week that ended January 28th, 2018.

Dence and the Cardinals took part in the Brockport Invitational located at the Special Events and Recreation Center on the campus of the College at Brockport on Saturday.

The sophomore would take the second place finish in the 60-meter hurdles event with a time of 9.48, just 1/100th of a second off of the qualifying mark for Atlantic Regionals.

The Hannibal native also took part in the women’s distance medley alongside Sydney Swan, Emily Dyson and Juliette Miller to take third place overall with a time of 13:19.35. This flat time converted to banked time ranks 27th nationally in the event.

The Cardinals returns to the track on Friday as the team is slated to compete at the RIT Invite.
