St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Emily Markarian of the field hockey team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of the week ending September 10^rd, 2017.
 
The Cardinals finished the week 2-0, picking up their first two wins of the season defeating the College of Brockport 6-0 and Johns Hopkins University 4-1 to improve to 2-1 on the year.
 
The senior All-American finished the week with three goals and one assist for a total of seven points. Markarian posted six shots on goal between the two games and finished with a 0.615 shot on goal percentage for the week.
 
The senior’s best game was on Sunday on the road at Johns Hopkins, as she netted two consecutive goals in the second half just 1:05 apart from each other for her third and fourth goals of the season against the Blue Jays.
 
The Cardinals are back in action on Wednesday as they welcome SUNY Geneseo to Growney Stadium at 4 pm.
