PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Ryan Fahy of the baseball team has been named the St. John Fisher College Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 2nd, 2017.
Fahy had a solid week at the plate this week, helping the Cardinals amass a 4-1 record which included three Empire 8 wins.
The junior batted .500 (8-for-16) on the week, recording three hits for extra bases. In Sunday’s first game against SUNY canton, Fahy went 2-for-2 from the dish, cracking a homer and racking up four RBI. Overall, the Herkimer, N.Y. native notched eight RBI on the year, while crossing the plate three times himself.
In the field, Fahy also registered six putouts.
Baseball will return to the diamond at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday as the team will travel o RIT to take on the Tigers.
