Emily Piacentini (East Ridge/Rochester) of the St. John Fisher College women’s basketball team has been named Fisher’s Female Athlete of the Week after a pair of strong performances during the week that ended February 5, 2017.
Piacentini stuffed the stat sheet as the Cardinals picked up two critical wins in Empire 8 play after downing Elmira on the Road and Utica at home.Â
The senior guard averaged 9.5 points, 4.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals over Fisher’s two games.
Against Elmira, Piacentini had 12 points, six rebounds and five helpers before closing out the week with seven points, four assists and two boards.
Piacentini and the rest of the St. John Fisher College women’s basketball team will return to action at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and will face Alfred University in another Empire 8 bout.
