Maria Kelleher of the women’s basketball team has been named the St. John Fisher College Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on November 27, 2016
Kelleher averaged 12.5 points over the two game stretch, helping the Cardinals post a 2-0 record.
Although only recording eight points in the win over Union on Saturday, the Lewisburg, PA native sank a key lay up to put the Cardinals up two late in the fourth quarter, while also nailing an insurance free throw in the overtime period. She outdid that performance the following day, going 6-for-8 (75%) from the field, including three three-pointers.
The senior guard also registered two assists and a steal on the weekend.
Fisher will be back on the court at 7 p.m. on Tuesday as the team travels to Geneva to take on the Herons of William Smith College.
