Sammy Robinson of the men’s basketball team, has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on November 19, 2017.
Over a three game span, he averaged 19.7 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game and nearly 2.0 steals per game. Robinson was efficient from the field going 21-for-36 from the field for a .583 shooting percentage during that span.
Against Hobart in the Cardinals’ season-opener, Robinson notched a team-high 20 points before returning to the court on Friday with a career-high 23 points in a 94-75 victory against Birmingham-Southern. The Cedarhurst native closed out the week with 16 points against Hope.
The sophomore guard currently leads the team in points per game and steals.
The Cardinals return to action at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21 to make their home debut, as they take on Wooster on Manning and Napier Gym and Bobby Wanzer Court.
