St. John Fisher University Athletics

Matthew Kaiser of the of the men’s soccer team has been named the St. John Fisher College Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on October 10^th, 2016.

Kaiser notched the game-winning goal in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Elmira College, helping the Cardinals reach the .500 mark (2-2-1) in conference play.

Jake Gentile got the movement going as he streaked down the field earning a one-on-one with the goalie. Gentile took a shot that the goalie got a piece of, but Kaiser was able to finish the play, nailing the ball into the back of the net.

Kaiser has been getting hot as of recent, scoring three of his four goals in the last three games.

Fisher will return to the pitch at 4 p.m. on Saturday as the team travels to Utica College for an Empire 8 bout with the Pioneers.
