St. John Fisher College’s Jennifer Knaak of the softball team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of Week for the week ending April 17th, 2016.
Fisher went 8-2 this week, going 6-0 on the road and improving its Empire Conference record to 5-1. Knaak batted .417 on the week, totaling 15 hits and 15 RBI.
On Tuesday, the senior went 2-for-3 in an 8-0 win over Keuka College at home as she tallied one run and three RBI.
Her week was highlighted in the 16-1 victory over Elmira College in game two of the doubleheader on Saturday. Fisher tallied a season-high 19 hits as Knaak went 4-for-5, including a double and triple. She scored two runs herself, batted in an additional five runs, and tacked on one stolen base.
The Cardinals are back in action at 3 p.m. on Tuesday to take on SUNY Cortland at home for a non-conference doubleheader.
