St. John Fisher College’s Jennifer Knaak of the softball team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of Week for the week ending March 20th, 2016.
Knaak recorded her 100th career hit in game two of its doubleheader at the University of Pitt-Bradford, in which Fisher won both games. The Cardinals are starting the season 11-1, which is the best start for Fisher in the program’s 33-year history.
On the day, Knaak had five hits, going 3-for-4 in game two, tallying one run and one RBI. She is currently batting .436 on the season, and is tied for first on the team in hits with 17.
The Cardinals are back in action at 3 p.m. on Tuesday for their first home game of the season as they host the University of Rochester for a doubleheader.
