St. John Fisher College’s Kyle Koehler of the men’s indoor track and field team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 13th, 2016.

Koehler placed seventh overall in the shot put on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted at Grinnell College.

His seventh place finish granted him All-American status; as Koehler becomes just the second individual in Fisher’s indoor track history to be named All-American.

He advanced to the finals after his second throw of 16.43 meters, and faulted his first two throws in the final round. On his third throw however, Koehler came up clutch throwing a staggering 16.53-meter toss, claiming seventh place by just .01 meters.
