St. John Fisher College’s Melissa Vaughn of the women’s indoor track and field team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of Week for the week ending January 31st, 2016.

The Cardinals finished fifth overall out of 16 teams this weekend at the Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational.

Vaughn collected a total of 10 points for Fisher, and placed first in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.48 seconds, just .03 seconds short of the ECAC Championship qualifying mark.

The Cardinals return to action on Saturday when they travel to Ithaca to participate in the Bomber Invite and Multi, a two-day event hosted by Ithaca College.
