PITTSFORD, N.Y., February 16, 2015 — Stefan Bock (St. Peters/Staten Island) of the nationally-ranked men’s basketball team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 15.
The senior guard posted 16 points apiece, shooting 11-of-14 from the floor and 9-of-10 from the charity stripe, in wins over Houghton College and Nazareth College for the No. 17th-ranked Cardinals in their final homestand.
In addition to his 16 points, Bock finished with three boards, one assist, two blocks and one steal in Fisher’s 97-65 win over Houghton. He added five rebounds, four assists and three steals the next day in the Cardinals’ 71-51 win over their East Avenue rival.
The Cardinals, who extended their win streak to 18 games, improve to 20-2 on the year and 13-0 in conference play. Fisher will be the top seed in the Empire 8 Championship and will host the four-team tournament on Feb. 27-28, with the winner earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.
Fisher starts its final week of the regular season on Tuesday against host Alfred University.
