Dan Rudy (Marcellus/Syracuse) of the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College football team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 8, 2013.

Rudy saved his best game for last in a 45-23 loss to No. 3 ranked University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Football Championship Saturday in Belton, Texas.

The senior finished the day with career-highs in receptions (11), and reception yards (167).  It was the first time in Rudy’s career that he went over 100 yards receiving in a game.  He also caught a career-long 69-yard pass in the third quarter.

Rudy finishes the season with 47 catches for 501 yards and two touchdowns.

Fisher ends the 2013 season 10-3 overall.
