St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Rachael Kline (Oneida/Oneida) of the volleyball team has been named as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 27, 2013.

Kline helped Fisher to a 2-2 week including recording her 1,000^th career kill in a 3-2 loss to Ithaca Friday night.

The senior finished the week with 39 kills (2.29 per set) to lead the team, while adding 10 blocks over the four match span.

Fisher had a thrilling five set win over RIT on Wednesday taking the first two sets, then losing the next two, before rebounding in the fifth set for a 16-14 win.  Kline had nine kills in the win.
Kline had a game-high 19 kills in a four set win over Utica College early Saturday before the Cardinals lost in three sets to Nazareth College.

In her senior campaign Kline leads the Cardinals with 327 kills (2.82 per set) and is second on the team in blocks with 89.

Fisher will return to action at 10 a.m. on Saturday against Potsdam.  The Cardinals will also face SUNY Geneseo at 4 p.m. as part of a tri-match.
