Freshman Katlin Shippy (Trumansburg/Trumansburg) of the women’s cross country team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 30, 2012.
 
In a fifth-place team finish at the Geneseo Invitational on Saturday, she ran her season-best time of 23:50.3 to finish a team-best 11th out of 85 runners.
 
Shippy has been Fisher’s top team finisher in all four of the team’s races thus far in the season.
 
The Cardinals will return to the course on Saturday for the Saratoga Invite held at Saratoga Springs State Park.
