St. John Fisher College’s Chelsea Oberkrieser (Iroquois/South Wales) of the soccer team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 25, 2011.

During a 1-0 week for Fisher, Oberkrieser tallied her team-leading second goal of the season in the team’s only contest of the week, a 2-0 road victory over Alfred University. The sophomore scored what would end up being the game winner just 1:39 into the match.

For the season, Oberkrieser leads Fisher with six points on two goals and two assists.

The Cardinals are now 3-3 on the season, and return to action at 7 p.m. on Monday when they host Rochester Institute of Technology.
