    St. John Fisher College has named Colleen Maloney (Liverpool/Liverpool) of the women’s basketball team as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 21, 2010.

    On Friday, Maloney scored 20 points as Fisher was defeated by SUNY Cortland in the first round of the Skidmore Invitational. She also recorded seven rebounds, one steal and three blocks.

    On Saturday, the senior scored 19 points as Fisher fell to SUNY Oneonta in double overtime. She tied a career-high in rebounds and steals with nine and five, respectively.

    The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday as they host the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Invitational. The action begins with Mt. Union facing off against Union College at 6 p.m., and the nightcap between Fisher and D’Youville is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. The consolation game is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday and is followed by the championship game at 3 p.m.
