Ryan Kramer (Oneida/Oneida) of the St. John Fisher College football team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 7, 2010.

Kramer led the Cardinals’ offense in rushing this week against Springfield College.  Kramer totaled 146 all-purpose yards (63 rushing, 68 receiving and 15 passing) and scored three total touchdowns.  His first touchdown was on the first scoring drive of the game as he ran for a career-long 33 yards into the end zone.  His second touchdown was a four-yard reception from Tim Bailey to cut the deficit to seven with just over five minutes left in the first half.  His final touchdown was a 14-yard reception from Bailey in the fourth quarter.

For the season, the sophomore running back has 392 yards rushing and seven touchdowns.  He has 36 receptions for 461 yards and four touchdowns.  He has also contributed in special teams with a 52-yard punt return for a touchdown.  Kramer is tied for the lead in points scored with kicker Chad Monheim as both have totaled 72 points on the year.  He leads the team in total touchdowns with 12 on the season.

Fisher, ranked third in the NCAA Division III East Region, will now wait until Sunday to see if it has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.  If the Cardinals aren’t selected they will most likely earn their third straight ECAC Bowl Championship appearance.
