St. John Fisher College has selected #Jamie Harmon# of the softball team as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 16, 2010.
Harmon, a junior outfielder, drove in all three runs in a 3-2 win over Elmira College in an elimination game at the ECAC Upstate Championship on Sunday. Down by two runs in the fifth, Harmon singled to center field to score two Cardinals and tie the game. The junior then stole the game from the Soaring Eagles with a walk-off single up the middle in the bottom of the seventh to keep Fisher in the Championship.
For the weekend, Harmon batted .500, going 6-for-12 from the plate and recording one run and four RBI.
On the season, the Maine native batted .275 (22-for-80), with five doubles and 10 RBI.
The Cardinals wrapped up the season 27-20 overall.
