St. John Fisher University Athletics

   The Cardinals faced two tough matches in the past week, falling to neighboring University of Rochester 3-0 in the last of their regular season matches, and then dropping a 3-1 decision to host and number-one seed Stevens in the Empire 8 semifinal match on Saturday. 

   Kandefer led Fisher with 11 kills in the battle against Stevens, and recorded seven kills against the Yellowjackets at U of R.  She ranks in the top ten in the Empire 8 for hitting percentage, and remains the only player in conference to average more than one block per game (1.04).  Kandefer has tallied 22 solo blocks, as well as 81 assisted blocks, on the season.

   Fisher ended its regular season 19-18, and placed fourth in the conference with a 5-3 record against Empire 8 opponents.
