The Cardinals opened the week with a 3-2 loss (28-26, 11-25, 17-25, 25-22, 10-15) to visiting SUNY Fredonia before going 2-0 during Saturday’s tri-match held at Fisher. The Cardinals defeated both Hilbert and Cazenovia Colleges in straight games. Braun led the Cardinals with 35 assists in Tuesday’s loss, and totaled 71 assists for the week, averaging 7.1 per game. She recorded a .476 hitting percentage with 12 kills and only two errors on 21 attempts. Braun came through on the defensive side with 19 digs during the three contests as well.
Braun currently ranks second in the Empire 8 with a .284 hitting percentage, totaling 109 kills in 84 games played. She is among the conference leaders in assists as well, recording 460. Braun leads the Cardinals in assists and ranks third on the team in digs with 223 on the season so far.
Fisher is now 10-16 overall, and travels to Buffalo to take on Medaille College on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
