St. John Fisher College has named #Tim Bailey# of the men’s football team as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 13, 2009. Bailey was also named the Empire 8 Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week.
In a 55-7 victory over Buffalo State, Bailey finished 15-of-20 with 239 yards through the air. He also recorded two touchdown passes. Eight-of-ten drives initiated by Bailey ended in a Fisher point gain, six of which were touchdowns.
The junior quarterback, who started in all 11 games last year, is 43 yards away from surpassing the 3,000 yards passing mark. He can be the third player in Fisher history to achieve such a feat.
The Cardinals return to action Saturday night, when they host the University of Rochester in Courage Bowl V at 7 p.m.
