    Tight Ends Coach
Vince Tobia joined the St. John Fisher University football team's coaching staff before the 2024 season as running backs coach. He transitioned to tight ends coach in March 2025. 

Tobia came to Fisher from Catholic University in Washington, D.C., where he worked with inside receivers in 2023 after spending the 2021 and 2022 seasons coaching tight ends. 

Tobia began his coaching career in 2016 at Newton high school in Covington, Georgia, where he was the varsity offensive line coach and the offensive coordinator for the JV team.

After Newton, he took a graduate position at Vanderbilt. During his time at the SEC school, he worked as a video assistant, assisting the coaching staff in video production and editing film for practice and film sessions. Tobia held this position for two years, acquiring more responsibilities in year two. 

Tobia then took a job as an assistant coach at Erie Community College as the tight ends coach before transitioning to OL coach and Run Game Coordinator, a title he held for one season prior to the pandemic. 

He began his education at Erie Community College in 2009 and earned his Associates of Arts degree in 2011. He continued his playing career at Edinboro University before transferring and earning his Bachelors of Science in Health & Physical Education with a minor in sports studies in 2014 at Canisius University. Tobia earned a master's degree in 2018 at Vanderbilt, where he studied special education with a focus on high incidence disabilities.

Originally from Buffalo, Tobia resides in Penfield with his wife, Amanda.Â
