Nicksen Sivongsa

Nicksen Sivongsa was named assistant women’s volleyball Coach at St. John Fisher in July 2017 and is in his eighth season with the team. As the assistant, the team has achieved remarkable success, winning five straight Empire 8 regular-season championships. Since joining head coach Kelly Greapentrog's staff, Sivongsa has helped elevate Fisher to one of the top programs in the country, with the team being ranked in the American Volleyball Coaches of America's top-25 poll in 2021. In addition to his role at St. John Fisher, Sivongsa is also the Club Director of VolleyFX.

Before joining St. John Fisher, Sivongsa spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Gates Chili and Victor high schools. In 2016, he helped coach the Victor Blue Devils to a 15-4 record and a spot as the 2016 Section V Class AA finals. Over his three years coaching high school volleyball, his teams achieved a combined record of 42-13 and won two league championships.

Prior to coaching high school volleyball, Sivongsa completed an internship with Dartfish, a video-analysis software company. During this time, he supported the women’s volleyball team at Cornell University with Dartfish during its 2008 season.

Sivongsa holds a bachelor's degree in Sport Management from SUNY Cortland.
