Ryan Millar was hired in the fall of 2014 as the Associate Head Coach of the Cross Country as well as the track and field teams. He is also serves as the recruiting coordinator for the programs.
The New Hartford native joins the Fisher coaching staff after spending one year coaching the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute cross country and track and field programs. During his tenure, the men’s outdoor track and field team won the NYSCTC championship along with the Liberty League Outdoor Championship. Millar and the coaching staff at RPI were named the Outdoor Track and Field Coaching Staff of the year for both the NYSCTC and Liberty League. During the cross country season, Millar helped guide the Women’s Cross Country Atlantic Region Runner of the Year and five NCAA Atlantic Region cross country runners.
Prior to RPI, Millar was a double major earning a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations at SUNY Plattsburgh. The 2013 graduate, was a three- time All-SUNYAC selection and two-time All-Atlantic Region selection.
While attending New Hartford, Millar was a state qualifier in 2007 and 2008 in cross country and qualified in outdoor track in 2007.
Millar is also USATF Level One Certified.
Millar currently resides in Pittsford.
