After joining in 2005, Mike Magin is back as an assistant coach for the varsity team. He will be responsible for the JV team, as well as recruiting, strength, and conditioning of the varsity athletes and will be most influential throughout practice sessions.
Magin led the Sodus Central High School varsity basketball program to its first Class CCC Sectional Championship since 1981 in just his third season as head coach. He has his personal trainer certification and has been teaching Health/Physical Education for the past 10 years.
Magin received his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland in 1995 and continued his education at SUNY Brockport, receiving his Master’s in Health Science in 2001.
Mike currently resides in Webster with his wife Alison and his daughter, Ava Leigh.
