PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher softball slugger Emily McManus has been named to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) NCAA Division III Player of the Year watchlist.
Revealed by the NFCA on Thursday, the Player and Pitcher of the Year watchlist includes 118 players from across the division's 10 regions. The list is compiled by elected members of the NFCA DIII All-America committee and one head coach from each region.
McManus, a junior, is one 17 returning NFCA All-America selections on this year's watchlist. The reigning Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Year earned third-team All-America honors last season after batting .445 with 44 RBI. She blasted a program single-season record 15 home runs and had 10 doubles.
McManus has produced impressive numbers through 16 games this season, as she boasts a .524/.649/1.048 slash line with 22 RBI entering this weekend's slate of games. She has drilled six home runs to push her career total to 34, four shy of breaking Sarah Kubik's program record (37 homers from 2016-19).
The Cardinals host Russell Sage in a doubleheader that begins at 3 p.m. on Friday. They host Hartwick in a twin bill on Saturday, with first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m.
