Freshman forward/center Maximus Michalski was named Empire 8 Rookie of the Week on Monday following his strong performances over the weekend.
Michalski shot 13 of 16 from the field and scored 26 points in the Cardinals' games against Keuka and Elmira. He scored 14 points on 7 of 10 shooting, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out two assists and took a charge in Fisher's win over Elmira on Saturday.
Michalski has scored 10 or more points in three of the Cardinals’ last four games. He’s averaging 11.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in that span.

Senior forward Connor Williams, known as ‘Big Cozy’, has been one of the top scorers in the Empire 8 this season, averaging a career-best 14.9 points per game (10th in the conference). He leads the Cardinals in scoring and rebounds per game (6.8).
Williams has scored in double figures in 13 of the Cardinals’ 17 games. He has recorded four double-doubles, including two in Fisher’s last three games.
Williams scored a career-high 36 points in an overtime loss to Suny Poly on Jan. 10, the most by a Fisher player since Daniel Cook had 38 against Alfred in January 2023. Williams had 15 points in the first half and 21 in the second half and overtime.
Williams leads the Empire 8 and ranks 42nd in Division III in field goal percentage (56.7%).

The Cardinals had one of their most complete efforts of the season in a 96-75 victory over Elmira on Saturday at Varsity Gym.
Williams knocked down a pair of 3-pointers during Fisher’s 21-5 game-opening run. Michalski, who made his sixth start of the season, had four points and two assists in that stretch.
Four Cardinals scored in double figures, including Williams (15), Michalski (14), senior guard Cole Thomson (14) and freshman forward Parker Rey (12).

The Cardinals own a 72-41 lead in the all-time Battle of the Beaks series.
The crosstown rivals have split the last 10 meetings. Neither side has won consecutive games in the series since Fisher’s stretch of four wins in a row from (2020-21).
Nazareth won the most recent matchup, beating Fisher 92-85 last February at home.
Since 2005, the Cardinals own a 13-8 record against Nazareth at Varsity Gym.
