DALLAS, Pa. – The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's volleyball team traveled to Pennsylvania and defeated Wilkes University, 3-0, and Misericordia University, 3-1, on Saturday inside Anderson Sports Center. With the wins, Fisher, which is ranked 14th in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association national poll, improves to 18-7 on the season.

The Cardinals dominated the match from the start as the No. 14 team in the nation jumped out to a 10-5 lead behind a pair of kills from the program's all-time kills leader,
Josh Bigford. Fisher extended its lead to nine after back-to back kills from Baker and a service ace from Bigford.
A 7-1 run from the Colonels cut the lead to three before head coach
Stephen England's squad would generate a 9-3 run of its own to take set one 25-16, and lead 1-0 in the match.
The momentum carried into set two as Fisher's offense produced several runs to give the team another 25-16 set win and take a comfortable 2-0 advantage in the match.
Looking for a 3-0 sweep, the Cardinals crafted a quick 7-0 run after setter

As the set wore on, a block, kill, and service ace from
Griffin Stella kept the Cardinals ahead 12-6, before an 12-5 run gave the designated home team only needing one point to take the match. After digging a Colonels attack,
Gavin Newman found
Trace La Robardiere for the match winning spike as Fisher claimed set three, 25-15, and the match 3-0.
Bigford led the offense with eight kills followed by Baker with seven and Stella with five.
Matt Beiter finished the match with eight points including three blocks and three aces, while Stella and
Matt Cieplicki also added three blocks apiece. Freshman setter Newman assisted on 14 kills, while Ingerick found 13 Cardinals for kills along with five digs.

After opening the match trailing 3-0, the Cardinals roared back with a 6-2 run as Ingerick found Cieplicki for a kill, while Stella and Baker combined for a block.
Later on, the Cougars would take a two-point advantage before five straight points from Fisher, including three Baker kills, would give the Cardinals a three-point edge. A back-and-forth battle would find the match tied 26-26, before a Cieplicki kill would give the Cardinal and Gold a one-point advantage.
A pair of errors from the Cardinals allowed the Cougars to lead 29-28 and only needing one point for the set. The Cardinals turned to their best offensive weapons in Baker and Bigford as the two outside hitters combined for three kills to come back and take set one, 31-29.
Set two once again saw the teams battle back-and-forth, while the Cougars were able to close out the set 30-28, tying the match up 1-1.
Attempting to retake the lead, the Cardinals once again looked to Bigford, as the senior found a pair of kills to take a 12-10 lead halfway through the set.
From there, Ingerick was able to find Beiter for a pair of kills, while the Cougars committed several hitting errors, allowing the Cardinals to take a 22-17 edge.
After a Baker kill and a Cougars service error, Ingerick once again found his high-flying outside hitter, Baker, for a powerful set winning kill.
Leading 2-1, the Cardinals came out firing in set four that included a 7-1 run to take an 11-4 lead. Multiple attacking errors from the Cougars, along with kills from Stella and Cieplicki put the Cardinals ahead 16-6.
With all the momentum, the Cardinals jumped ahead 23-11 after Ingerick found Stella for his career-high 13
thkill of the match. The Cardinals closed the match on a pair of errors from the Cougars, taking the set 25-12, and the match 3-1.
Baker led the offense with 16 kills, followed by Stella with 13, and Cieplicki with 11. Beiter ended the match with three aces and three blocks, while libero
David Cerqua found himself 12 digs. Setter Ingerick assisted on 44 kills, while the freshman also had 11 digs.
