PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse team pushed its winning streak to four games on Tuesday as the Cardinals did not allow a shot in a 21-0 rout of visiting Alfred University in an Empire 8 bout inside Growney Stadium. With the win, Fisher improved to 9-1 on the year and 4-0 in the conference standings while the Saxons fell to 1-4 overall and 0-3 against Empire 8 opponents.
In all, 13 different players recorded a point in the win led by
Brittany Halpin who finished with four goals and an assist.
Logan Chase netted three goals and assisted on another as the Cortland native collected six draw controls in the win.
Courtney O'Dea added two goals and a pair of assists while
Alyssa Sproule had three points on the night including two goals and a dime.
Mackenzie Alexander finished with three points and had three draw controls for head coach
Linda Michele's squad while
Sydney DeGirolamo had a goal, an assist and seven draw controls.
In goal,
Claudia Mocciaro moved to 9-1 following 30 minutes on action.
Lilly Goodsell played the second half of Fisher's first shutout since 2019.
The Cardinals' backline including

Hannah King and
Shannon Foster was impressive all game as Fisher accrued eight caused turnovers and jumped the passing lanes all game with Alfred going 5-of-16 on the clear.
Fisher will go for its fifth straight win at 1 p.m. on Saturday when they travel to Oneonta to take on the Hartwick College Hawks inside Wright Stadium.
